“Jazz Suite II” by Shostakovich actually is Walz #2 from his Suite for Variety Orchestra (post 1956). The piece became famous by the soundtrack of Stanley Kubrick’s ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ movie as well as by its performance by the world famous (Dutch) Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Since Bill Haley’s “Rock around the Clock” is from 1956 as well, this Walz is not classical at all.
To me, it always brings ’round visions’, of balls, things bouncing around and a merry-go-round going wild. So at a day, I decided to visualize things using 3D animation.
